Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead a two-site GP practice with 3 partners and 13,000 patients. You will drive day-to-day operations, staff development, governance, and financial sustainability, working closely with the GP Partners to deliver high-quality care.

The role requires strong IT skills, experience managing a large team, and knowledge of CQC standards, NHSE contracts, and PCN liaison.

• Experience in a management or supervisory role in general practice.
• Experience in managing a large team.
• Experience in financial management.
• Experience in business management.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day practice management supporting smooth running and patient care.
• Staff management and development across a large team.
• Governance and compliance with legislation, regulations and CQC standards.
• Claims and submissions, maintaining timely and accurate information.
• Financial management including budgeting, expenditure monitoring and reporting.
• Support business planning and practice development with Partners.
