We are a high achieving training, part dispensing GMS practice delivering a wide range of services to our 9,700 patients by our team which comprises of:
We also have an experienced admin, care navigation, dispensary and housekeeping team We provide the usual range of GMS primary care services and Locally Commissioned Services including coil clinics and phlebotomy. We are pleased to confirm that we have applied for a UK Sponsor Licence, enabling us to support applications from suitably qualified international GPs. We are committed to building a diverse workforce and welcome applications from candidates who require visa sponsorship, subject to approval and regulatory requirements., Key areas and responsibilities: Clinical Provide full range of general medical services according to patient need Participate in and maximise income via Enhanced Services, QOF, LES and IIF taking responsibility for agreed areas Provide on call services in the form of duty doctor as part of the GP clinical team during core hours Participate in clinical audit and governance Complete medical and other reports for patients registered with the Practice Education Clinical supervision of other professionals including nursing, and registrars. We work collaboratively with the other 2 practices in Oswestry and operate from purpose-built premises with parking facilities for staff. We are rated Good by the Care Quality Commission. We provide the usual range of GMS primary care services and Locally Commissioned Services including coil clinics and phlebotomy. We are also proud of the fact that we work together and support each other as a team to ensure that we all enjoy a sensible work/life balance. We offer our patients a choice of 15-minute face-to-face appointments or 10-minute telephone consultations and build in 30 minutes of admin time into each session. We were one of the first practices in Shropshire to introduce the role of GP Assistant and our GPs now wonder how they ever got through the working day without that support. The practice is an active member of the North Shropshire Primary Care Network. We are an EMiS practice and have just switched our document management from Docman to Anima.
At Plas Ffynnon Medical Centre, we are introducing a Total Triage way of working and during this period of change we would like to strengthen our clinical team with the recruitment of 2 motivated and enthusiastic Salaried GPs. This is an excellent opportunity for GPs seeking a rewarding role with genuine work-life balance in one of Englands most picturesque and affordable regions. Although we have indicated 6 sessions per week, we are flexible about the number of sessions that you may wish to work. The successful candidates will start by October 2026.
