Job summary

The Ministry of Justice in Derby is recruiting an Approved Premises Residential Worker to provide 24-hour cover, safeguarding residents and property, and supporting risk management and sentence plan objectives. You will uphold premises rules, monitor licence conditions, report changes in risk or non-compliance, and work with probation teams and external agencies to maintain a safe, disciplined environment.

Qualifications

Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and external agencies.
Strong observational skills and the ability to maintain an active presence within the Approved Premises at all times.

Right to work in the UK, either currently held or obtained through successful visa sponsorship application.

Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour cover and ensure safety of residents and premises.
Contribute to risk management and sentence plan objectives.
Uphold Approved Premises rules and licence conditions; monitor changes in risk or non-compliance.
Observe and report on developments to keep residents safe and supervised.
Collaborate with probation services and external agencies as needed.
