Job summary

The Ministry of Justice is seeking a Residential Worker at The Grange Approved Premises. This office-based role requires covering day and night shifts, with annualised hours of 625 or 1250, including a mix of standard and unsocial hours across a 24-hour period.

Residents are supervised to support their resettlement and compliance with licence conditions. A good level of numeracy and literacy is needed for reporting, with enhanced pay for unsocial hours.

Qualifications

• Empathy, patience and resilience when working with people who have social or personal difficulties.
• Good numeracy and literacy for report writing.

Responsibilities

• Support the management of offenders in transition from custody to the community to achieve successful resettlement.
• Assist with well-being and supervision of residents, helping them to cover license conditions and stay safe.
• Carry out inspections, monitor behaviour and engage with residents and partner agencies.
