Job summary

James Andrew Recruitment Solutions (JAR Solutions) is seeking a Governance & Risk Manager for a permanent role in Uxbridge. The position starts immediately and is full-time.

You will provide authoritative governance advice to the Board and Senior Leaders, help ensure an effective governance framework, and embed practical risk management across a multi-site operation. The role requires experience in not-for-profit or SME organisations; a degree in a relevant subject or governance

Qualifications

• Experience in not-for-profit or SME organisations.
• Degree in a relevant subject and governance qualifications (e.g., CGI/ICSA) or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide governance advice to the Board and Senior Leaders to support an effective governance framework.
• Embed practical risk management across a multi-site operation and ensure clear responsibilities.
• Maintain governance records including conflicts of interest, tenure, appointments and decision trails.
• As Data Protection Officer, maintain UK GDPR compliance, ROPA and DPIA processes and handle privacy inquiries.
• Show experience in not-for-profit or SME organisations due to team size.

Job description

Our client, based in Uxbridge, is currently recruiting for a Governance & Risk Manager on a permanent basis.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary is from £66,00 - £70,000.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Providing authoritative and practical governance advice to the Board and Senior Leaders helping them fulfil their mandatory obligations and ensuring an effective governance framework in practice - from decision-making through to delivery - across the whole organisation
• Embedding a clear, practical approach to risk management and mitigation, ensuring every team across our multi-site operation is clear on their responsibilities and takes informed decisions
• Maintaining accurate governance records, including conflicts of interest, tenure, appointments and decision trails
• As the Data Protection Officer, maintain UK GDPR compliance, ROPA and DPIA processes, IT, digital and security policies, serving as the main point of contact for any privacy enquiries
• Experience required within a not for profit or SME type organisation, due to the size of the team already there

Skills & Experience required:

• Experience within not for profit or SME organisations
• Degree in a relevant subject, a recognised governance qualification (e.g. CGI/ICSA) or

equivalent relevant experience
