Location: Birmingham
Salary: £47,255 - £55,596
Working Pattern: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote

This is an opportunity for you to play a key role in protecting one of the UK's largest and most high-profile infrastructure programmes. Working across a complex rail programme and extensive supply chain, you'll take ownership of a large-scale Fraud Risk Assessment (FRA) and assurance programme, helping identify, assess and mitigate fraud, bribery and corruption risks across significant areas of programme spend. With the risk assessment programme already recognised with a Gold Star award, this is an established and high-profile function that is continuing to develop across areas including major railway systems and bridge assets. The role will give you exposure to senior stakeholders across the programme and supply chain, with your work directly supporting governance, assurance and the protection of significant public investment.

You’ll be responsible for:
  • Managing detailed, thematic and enterprise-level Fraud Risk Assessments.
  • Maintaining and developing the wider FRA and assurance programme.
  • Ensuring compliance with Government Functional Standard 013.
  • Producing fraud risk reporting for senior management and committees.
  • Developing fraud risk models, metrics and the Counter Fraud Strategy.
  • Working with risk leads across a complex supply chain to identify and manage emerging risks.
  • Developing fraud-related policies and controls.
About You

You’ll have substantial experience in Fraud Risk Assessment, fraud assurance or fraud risk management, ideally within construction, infrastructure, rail or another complex supply chain environment.

Strong knowledge of Government Functional Standard 013, corporate governance, risk management and fraud legislation is highly relevant, alongside the ability to communicate complex risk issues to senior stakeholders.

Government Counter Fraud Profession membership or experience working to its Fraud Risk Assessment standards would be advantageous.
