Job summary

BMSL Group Ltd is recruiting a Quality Manager to lead Governance & Learning, driving IMS improvements and audit execution on a major infrastructure programme. You will shape governance strategy, promote a strong Nuclear Safety Culture and align learning with continuous improvement across the business.

The role offers hybrid working, engagement with senior leadership, and responsibility for governance, quality systems and organisational learning on a nationally significant project.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or equivalent experience within a relevant discipline.
• Lead Auditor qualification to ISO 9001:2015 standard.
• Experience leading governance, quality systems, assurance or continuous improvement functions.
• Strong understanding of Integrated Management Systems and quality governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Governance & Learning team.
• Develop, maintain and continually improve Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
• Plan and manage internal audit programmes and ensure timely close-out of actions.
• Lead KPI reporting, governance reviews and management review activities.
• Coordinate client, certification and assurance audits.

Quality Manager - Governance & Learning

Hinkley Point C, Somerset / Hybrid Working

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Manager to join a major engineering organisation delivering work on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure and energy projects.

This is a strategic leadership role with responsibility for Governance, Learning, Quality Systems and Nuclear Safety Culture across a major infrastructure programme. Operating within a highly regulated environment, you will lead the Governance & Learning function while helping drive continuous improvement, organisational learning and quality excellence throughout the business.

Working closely with senior leadership teams, project delivery functions and key stakeholders, you will influence governance strategy, strengthen Integrated Management Systems, lead audit programmes and ensure lessons learned and best practice are embedded across the organisation.

This role offers a blend of hybrid working, project engagement and leadership responsibility, providing the opportunity to make a lasting impact on a nationally significant project.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Quality / Nuclear Safety, you will lead the Governance & Learning team and take ownership of governance, audit, learning and improvement activities across the organisation.

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving Integrated Management Systems, coordinating assurance activities, supporting management reviews, driving lessons learned programmes and promoting a strong Nuclear Safety Culture throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

• * Work with business functions to strengthen governance frameworks and quality processes
• * Plan and manage internal audit programmes and ensure timely close-out of actions
• * Lead KPI reporting, governance reviews and management review activities
• * Coordinate client, certification and assurance audits
• * Drive lessons learned initiatives and ensure best practice is embedded across the organisation
• * Champion continuous improvement programmes across project and business functions
• * Promote and support the development of a positive Nuclear Safety Culture
• * Deliver Quality and Nuclear Safety Culture training, inductions and awareness activities
• * Facilitate governance and performance review sessions with senior leadership teams
• * Support wider quality, assurance and business improvement objectives

Requirements

• * Degree qualified or equivalent experience within a relevant discipline
• * Lead Auditor qualification to ISO 9001:2015 standard
• * Experience leading governance, quality systems, assurance or continuous improvement functions
• * Strong understanding of Integrated Management Systems and quality governance frameworks
• * Experience managing audit programmes and driving improvement actions
• * Experience leading teams within a regulated engineering, infrastructure or construction environment
• * Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
• * Ability to obtain BPSS security clearance

Desirable Experience

• -Nuclear industry experience
• -Major project, EPC or infrastructure experience
• -Experience implementing and maintaining Integrated Management Systems
• -Experience delivering Quality Systems or Nuclear Safety Culture training
• -Professional membership such as CQI, IRCA or equivalent
• -Knowledge of UK and international quality standards and codes of practice
• -Experience supporting organisational learning and continuous improvement programmes
