Job summary

AWD online is recruiting a Governance and Compliance Officer to strengthen governance, regulatory compliance and assurance. You will maintain governance records, policies and reports, and support the Board and committees.

You will coordinate audits, assist policy implementation and help staff and residents contribute to service improvement, with some travel between accommodation centres.

Qualifications

• Ability to format reports in Microsoft Word and create agenda packs using Adobe Acrobat
• Strong time administration and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to produce accurate records and meeting minutes
• Ability to draft guidance papers on governance requirements, procedures and standards
• Confidence consulting stakeholders on governance guidance and requirements
• Ability to explain complex information clearly, concisely and persuasively

Responsibilities

• Board and Committee support: organise agendas and papers, produce accurate minutes
• Governance and Policy support: help deliver governance initiatives and guidance
• Compliance and Assurance: support adherence to laws, regulations and standards
• Records and Reporting: maintain accurate records and assurance reports
• Audit and Assurance Reviews: coordinate internal audits and report findings to leaders
• Corporate Planning and KPIs: contribute to plans and KPI reporting
• Resident and Employee Engagement: support engagement and service improvement
• Service Improvement: apply best practices across teams
