Location: Bradford – with hybrid working, a mix of office and home working, with 2-3 days in the office per week.

Work type: Permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

Role overview: We have an exciting opportunity for a Governance, Assurance & Process Lead to join our Central Control team within the Customer Experience (CX) business unit at Yorkshire Water. This role involves helping Yorkshire Water provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Role responsibilities:

  • Developing strategy and framework for policy ownership, change requests, and governance within Central Control.
  • Implementing a robust governance framework, including policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Managing governance and compliance, influencing stakeholders, and ensuring consistent, auditable processes.
  • Leading governance meetings, managing compliance, and conducting audits and root cause analyses.
  • Tracking compliance, reporting to senior stakeholders, and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Supporting the development and governance of an Incident Management System.
  • Conducting benchmarking and sharing best practices within and outside the water industry.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Relevant experience and professional qualifications in risk, compliance, business process mapping, or business architecture.
  • Strong influencing, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data reporting platforms.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Experience supporting change and embedding a positive culture.
  • Full UK driving license with fewer than 6 points.

Desirable skills:

  • Proven track record in quality assurance and risk management.
  • Leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Experience in a regulated or commercially oriented environment.
