Job summary

Comxps Ltd is seeking an experienced IT professional for a third-line support role across Manchester, Bristol, and London, with on-site presence once or twice weekly. The role supports a government client under SC clearance and contract to 26/03/2027.

You will lead complex projects from ideation to implementation, manage large Google Workspace environments, and ensure robust email security across gateways and domains.

Qualifications

• Experience in third line IT support within a busy environment.
• Proven delivery of complex projects from ideation to implementation.
• Track record of data migrations and using migration tools.
• Deep knowledge of messaging, email security and related protocols.
• Hands-on with Google Apps Manager (GAM) and Google Workspace.
• Experience managing large Google Workspace domains and third‑party tools.
• Background as a business analyst gathering requirements and success criteria.
• Able to run dozens of projects concurrently and manage DNS zones.
• Experience implementing DKIM, SPF, DMARC and MTA-STS.
• Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and VIPs.

Location: MANCHESTER/BRISTOL/LONDON - ONCE / TWICE A WEEK

Contracting Authority: Government Client

Contract Length: to 26/03/2027

Clearance: SC

It's essential that you have:

• Experience in working as third line support in a busy IT support function
• Experience in the delivery of complex projects from ideation to implementation
• Experience in data migrations and migration tools
• Deep understanding of messaging protocols and email security
• Experience in using Google Apps Manager commands (GAM)
• Experience managing SaaS based messaging platforms such as Google and Office 365
• Experience managing a large Google Workspace domain including third party tools
• Experience with working as a business analyst to gather requirements and success criteria for project work
• Experience with running multiple (dozens) of projects simultaneously
• Experience with managing multiple DNS zone files
• Experience with implementing email security standards such as DKIM, SPF, DMARC, and MTA-STS
• Experience with, and confident in dealing with, senior stakeholders and VIPs.
