Job summary

Henderson Scott is seeking a Google Workspace Administrator for a central government client on a 6-month contract. The role focuses on strengthening reliability, security and adoption across thousands of users, with involvement in digital transformation and collaboration enhancements.

Ideal candidates will have extensive Google Workspace experience, GAM commands, and a background in SaaS messaging platforms, including strong email security practices and DNS management. SC clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with Google Workspace and GAM commands.
• Experience delivering third-line IT support in a busy environment.
• Hands-on data migrations and migration tooling.
• Deep understanding of messaging protocols and email security.
• Background managing SaaS messaging platforms (Google/Office 365) including large Workspace domains.
• Experience gathering requirements, managing DNS, and implementing DKIM, SPF, DMARC, and MTA-STS.
• Confidence dealing with senior stakeholders and VIPs.
• Public-sector data and IT security experience (AD, MS Exchange, SharePoint, Office 365, Asana, Jira) preferred.

Google Workspace Administrator - GAM Commands - Central Government - 6 month contract - SC Clearance
I have an immediate opportunity for a subject matter expert for Google Workspace and associated tooling for our central government client.
You will strengthen reliability, security and adoption of Google Workspace across thousands of users and to help this government department gain maximum value from its Google estate. You'll also contribute to wider digital transformation by shaping how Google services support new ways of working and collaboration.
Due to the urgency and nature of the work, candidates will ideally hold active SC clearance.

• Strong skills and experience in Google Workspace, including GAM commands, Workspace Admin Console, etc.
• Experience delivering third line support in a busy IT support environment.
• Hands?on experience with data migrations and migration tooling.
• Deep understanding of messaging protocols and email security.
• Background managing SaaS messaging platforms such as Google and Office 365, including large Google Workspace domains with third?party tools.
• Experience gathering business requirements and success criteria, managing multiple DNS zone files, and implementing email security standards such as DKIM, SPF, DMARC and MTA?STS.
• Confidence dealing with senior stakeholders and VIPs,
• Previous experience within public?sector data and IT security, AD, MS Exchange, SharePoint, Office 365, Asana, Jira and document management systems would be preferred

The role can be based across different locations with an expectation to work 1-2 days onsite.
