Job summary

DS Smith in Ely is seeking an experienced Goods Out FLT Driver to join a two-person team responsible for the movement, loading and stock control of finished goods. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy and timely loading in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will support continuous improvement and KPIs while adhering to DS Smith Safe Systems of Work on site. The shift pattern encompasses 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with rotating day shifts.

Qualifications

• 12 months' continuous experience operating a Forklift Truck.
• Valid B1 Counterbalance FLT licence up to 5,000kg.
• Experience loading/unloading a variety of pallet types.
• Strong health and safety knowledge and practice.
• Ability to work as part of a two-person team and meet KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Gather stock from warehouse and production locations.
• Load vehicles including articulated trailers, rigid vehicles and vans.
• Perform daily FLT safety and operational checks.
• Report vehicle defects or maintenance needs promptly.
• Ensure stock movements are accurately recorded with proper documentation.
• Adhere to DS Smith Safe Systems of Work and site procedures.
• Support the operations team to hit KPIs and customer service targets.
• Contribute ideas to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
