Job summary

DS Smith is seeking an experienced Goods Out FLT Driver for the Ely site to move and load finished goods safely and efficiently. You will work in a two-person Despatch team, gathering stock, loading vehicles, and recording stock movements with strict adherence to safety procedures.

The successful candidate will have at least 12 months of FLT experience, a valid B1 Counterbalance licence up to 5,000kg, and will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on safety, accuracy, and

Qualifications

• 12 months' continuous experience operating a Forklift Truck (FLT).
• Valid B1 Counterbalance FLT Licence up to 5,000kg.
• Experience loading/unloading pallet types.
• Manufacturing or production environment experience.
• Strong health and safety practices.
• Experience working to KPIs and deadlines in a fast-paced operation.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good stock control and documentation checks.

Responsibilities

• Gather stock from warehouse and production locations.
• Load vehicles including trailers, rigids, and vans.
• Perform daily FLT safety and operational checks.
• Report vehicle defects or maintenance promptly.
• Ensure stock movements are documented with correct paperwork.
• Work safely following DS Smith Safe Systems of Work.
• Contribute ideas to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
• Support the wider operations team to achieve KPIs and customer targets.
