Job summary

Reynolds Food Group in Essex seeks a vigilant Goods Inwards Operative to join our warehouse team. You will receive deliveries, check goods against paperwork, rotate stock and store items safely while upholding food safety standards.

The role requires a current Counterbalance Forklift Licence, a full UK driving licence, and accurate record-keeping using a warehouse management system. This is a full-time post with on-site parking and a staff meat bonus within six weeks of employment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Goods Inwards or warehouse environment.
• Familiar with meat cuts and chilled/frozen handling.
• Current Counterbalance Forklift Licence and full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload deliveries of chilled, frozen and ambient products.
• Check deliveries against purchase orders and documentation for accuracy.
• Inspect incoming goods for quality, temperature compliance and damage.
• Barcode, label and record incoming stock accurately.
• Rotate stock using FIFO principles and store items safely.
• Operate a counterbalance forklift to move stock safely.
• Maintain stock records using warehouse management systems.
• Report discrepancies, damaged goods or quality issues.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in warehouse areas.
• Shunt vehicles in yard as required.
