Job summary

Flamingo Horticulture in Hertford Heath is seeking a Warehouse Receiver to manage the safe and efficient intake of fresh produce and packaging. You will check delivery notes, count quantities, verify batch/lot numbers, and record details in our ERP system while ensuring food-safety and quality standards.

The role involves unloading, moving goods to correct storage with PPT or FLT if trained, and collaborating with QC, warehouse, and production teams to keep daily targets on track.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse receiving and stock recording.
• Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems is a plus.
• Ability to work night shifts and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, and record deliveries with delivery notes and batch/lot numbers.
• Move goods to correct storage locations using PPT/FLT if trained.
• Unloading, checking, and recording deliveries within required times.
• Maintain intake documentation and ERP records.
• Report issues to supervisor.

Job description

Job Purpose:

To manage the safe and efficient receipt of fresh-produce and packaging deliveries, ensuring all products are checked, recorded, and stored correctly while maintaining high food-safety and quality standards. Check delivery documentation (delivery notes, invoices, pallet labels) and send discrepancy. Count and verify quantities, product descriptions, and batch/lot numbers. Move goods to correct storage locations using PPT or FLT (if trained). Collaborate with QC, warehouse, and production teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Dimensions of the job:

• Responsible for reporting and recording all waste materials / product.
• Responsible for the booking into the system of packed product and raw materials and its allocation to packhouse/warehouse cold stores/despatch.
• Responsible for maintaining any processing of information within our ERP system.

General Areas of responsibility:

• To ensure pallets/movements per hour standards are met and are improved
• Completes unloading, checking, and recording of deliveries within required timeframes to maintain smooth workflow.
• Handles incoming deliveries efficiently to support daily operational targets.
• To ensure all products are accepted in line with the current product specification
• Accurately completes all intake documentation, including delivery notes, weight, pallet counts, and batch/lot numbers.
• To report disciplinary issues to a supervisor / manager
