Job summary

Resource Recruitment is seeking a Goods in Inspector for a 6‑month contract in Poole, Dorset. You will liaise with stores, warehouse and shopfloor to ensure all goods, parts and materials meet the required standards and quality.

The role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.30am–4pm and Friday 7.30am–1pm. Responsibilities include inspecting all goods, reporting results for traceability, raising non-conformances and coordinating with Quality and Purchasing on supplier issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection for goods in
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/specifications
• Familiarity with mechanical inspection tools and techniques
• Knowledge of stores procedures and product storage is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Inspect all goods, parts and materials to ensure they meet specifications
• Perform visual inspections and use mechanical inspection tools
• Report inspections to ensure traceability
• Raise any non-conformances and coordinate with Quality & Purchasing on issues

Salary: Up to £17.94 per hour

We are currently working alongside a well-established industrial Manufacturer who are seeking a Goods in Inspector on a contract to join their team.

Within this role you will be liaising with the stores, warehouse and shopfloor to ensure all goods, parts and materials coming into the business meet the correct standards & quality.

Your duties will include (but not limited to):

• Inspecting all goods, parts and materials ensuring they meet desired specifications
• Undertaking visual inspections and using mechanical inspection tools
• Reporting of inspections to ensure traceability
• Raising any non-conformances
• Liaising closely with Quality & Purchasing to raise any supplier issues

Experience required:

• Knowledge of quality inspection for Goods In
• Working knowledge of using mechanical inspection tools & techniques
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings / specifications
• Good understanding of stores procedures and product storage
• Any quality qualifications is an advantage
