Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Backend Software Engineer in London to design and build Golang microservices powering innovative financial products. You’ll work closely with product and engineering teams in a hybrid setup to deliver secure, scalable systems.

Key requirements include strong Golang backend experience, microservices architectures, and Kubernetes familiarity, with a focus on high-quality software and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience developing backend applications in Golang.
• Experience building and supporting microservices architectures.
• Experience deploying and operating applications in containerised environments, ideally Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience working within agile development environments.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across the application stack, including network, server and database layers.
• Experience building concurrent, distributed applications at scale.
• Experience working with DevOps or SRE teams to support production environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A passion for learning, continuous improvement and delivering high-quality software.
