Job summary

DoorDash is building a London hub and seeks a Backend Engineer (Golang) to design real-time fraud detection for our payments platform across brands. You will ship high-throughput Go services, collaborate with risk analytics, data scientists, and product teams, and help scale reliability as we launch new financial products.

This foundational role places you on the fraud infrastructure team, responsible for low-latency decisions, on-call readiness, and architecture that scales with future product

Qualifications

• Go backend development with production ownership.
• Experience with low-latency distributed systems in production.
• Ability to design real-time decisioning and enforcement rules.
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and event streams.
• Willingness to on-call and maintain reliability.

Responsibilities

• Build high-throughput backend services in Go for real-time scoring of financial events.
• Design fraud detection and automated enforcement end-to-end across products.
• Extend and reuse our fraud decisioning platform across brands.
• Collaborate with risk analysts, data scientists, and product managers.
• Work with account security, payments fraud, and financial product teams.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for fraud infrastructure baseline.
• Write well-tested, observable code with a focus on reliability.
