Job summary

Intec Select is seeking a Backend Developer (Go / AWS) in London. You will design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs, primarily in Go, and own key components from design through deployment.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions, with AWS as the cloud backbone. The role includes mentoring junior engineers and contributing to engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years' professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with Go.
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Solid experience with AWS.
• Strong experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Strong engineering background delivering projects end‑to‑end.
• Experience with microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Go.
• Take ownership of key backend components, from design through to deployment.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable solutions.
• Build and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, databases, and backend services.
• Contribute to architectural decisions around performance, scalability and security.
• Work with AWS cloud infrastructure to deploy and maintain services.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to raising engineering standards.
