Qualifications

  • Clean driving license required.
  • Fork-lift truck experience preferred but training available.

Job description

Here at Evotec we have a great opportunity for a GMP Warehouse Technician to join our team in Milton Park, Abingdon, UK.

Role: GMP Warehouse Technician

Role Type: Permanent

Hours:Full-time, 40 hours per week, 0700 - 1600 Monday to Friday

Salary: Competitive Salary, plus excellent benefits package

The Company has established a unique position by assembling top-class scientific experts and integrating state-of-the-art technologies as well as substantial experience and expertise in key therapeutic areas including neuronal diseases, diabetes and complications of diabetes, pain and inflammation, oncology, infectious diseases, respiratory diseases and fibrosis.

Reporting directly to the GMP Warehouse Team Leader, responsibilities will include :-

  • The Day to day tasks within the warehouse, covering the production facilities, QC laboratories and PRD laboratories based on Milton Park.
  • Deputise for Warehouse Specialist when required.
  • The effective and efficient receipt of goods through a centralised receipting location at Building 117 GMP warehouse.
  • Managing GMP materials (raw materials and consumables) through receipt, sampling and location transfer.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles (manually and using FLT).
  • Put away of various GMP and non GMP materials into racking and specialised storage locations.
  • Ordering and controlling the stock of chemicals and consumables for the production team and labs.
  • Re-distribution of deliveries and control of satellite stores where appropriate, including distribution of materials (chemicals and consumables) between Aptuit buildings using the company vehicle.
  • Filling and disposal of Building 117 bulk effluent tanks.
  • Waste handling and sorting for the site, including documentation in accordance with regulations.
  • Controlled drug / ethanol waste destruction.
  • Using the expired stock report to isolate and remove expired materials from available stock (using warehouse management system to generate expiry labels).
  • Support EHS / QA walks around the warehouse.
  • Cycle counting and stock checking.
  • Check / Recondition cardon drums.
  • Second Check of Completed RFA forms.
  • General warehouse duties as required.

  • Pirana trained
  • Spill pallet checks trained
  • Attention to detail, especially regarding the completion of documentation
  • Clean Driving license
  • Fork-lift truck experience (In-house training will be provided if required)
  • Experience of working with pressurised gasses and liquid nitrogen (In-house training will be provided if required)
  • Deletion / Scrap trained (warehouse management system)
  • Ability to use a computer (Microsoft Office suite, and stock control software)
  • ADR trained
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good level of chemical knowledge
  • Ability to complete tasks to cGMP procedures where necessary
  • Storage of hazardous substances
  • Have a good understanding of basic warehouse duties
