Job summary

Mitie Group plc in Macclesfield is seeking a SSOW Administrator to oversee Safe Systems of Work across a pharmaceutical manufacturing site. You will administer, coordinate, and govern permit-to-work processes and risk assessments.

The role supports contractor compliance, method statements and engineering documentation, ensuring activities are performed safely and in line with GMP and ISO standards.

Candidates should have relevant health & safety qualifications and experience in GMP environments.

Qualifications

• IOSH, NEBOSH, Health & Safety or Facilities Management qualification.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/GMP-regulated environments.
• Experience administering permit-to-work and contractor compliance.
• Knowledge of GMP, GDP, CDM Regulations and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the site's SSOW programme.
• Review and process permit-to-work applications.
• Ensure permits are completed and authorised prior to work.
• Maintain permit registers and records.
• Support safe working practices across FM activities.
