GMP Production Technician – Site-Based, 5 Days

Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim in Pirbright is recruiting six Production Technicians on a contract basis until March 2028 to support the manufacture of bulk FMD antigen and vaccines, ensuring compliance with safety and GMP standards.

You will perform CIP/SIP, aseptic processing, batch records, materials handling and autoclave operations, maintaining product integrity and meeting regulatory requirements in a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• Read and follow detailed instructions accurately.
• Plan and complete work to agreed schedules with time management.
• Work autonomously as well as within a wider team.
• Careful, methodical approach with minimal supervision.
• Experience in a highly regulated environment is desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Competent IT skills, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform CIP (Clean-In-Place) and SIP (Sterilise-In-Place) operations to maintain the production schedule.
• Execute production processes in line with procedures, ensuring product integrity and compliance.
• Operate and maintain cleanroom laboratory environments for product manufacture.
• Maintain accurate production batch records in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage raw material stock levels, including routine checks and inventory control.
• Operate autoclaves to perform routine testing cycles and ensure cleaning and sterilisation.
• Perform Grade A/B aseptic processing and BSC activities with aseptic technique.
• Generate and investigate deviations with timely documentation and root cause analysis.
• Support deviation investigations and contribute to CAPA and continuous improvement.
• Involvement with EHS incident reporting and investigation.
