Job summary

Lonza is seeking a Scientist (Method Validation) in Slough for a fully site‑based role. You will perform experiments and analytical testing to support the manufacture of antibodies and recombinant proteins, with real-time data generation and documentation.

You will train teammates, maintain equipment and procedures, and ensure GMP-compliant practices. The role emphasizes hands-on collaboration and strict data integrity.

Qualifications

• Degree in a scientific or quality-related discipline.
• Basic knowledge of Analytical Laboratory methods for use in protein analytics.
• Previous experience of working within a GMP environment.
• Outstanding organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to address and resolve challenges promptly.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory experiments and analytical testing with minimal supervision
• Collect, analyse and accurately document scientific data, including the review and sign-off of routine assays
• Prepare routine scientific documentation, including test methods, protocols and technical reports
• Deliver training and knowledge sharing on analytical methods and laboratory procedures
• Maintain laboratory standards through routine housekeeping, equipment maintenance and stock management of reagents and consumables
• Take ownership of designated laboratory systems and processes where required
• Support troubleshooting activities and contribute to out-of-specification (OOS) and laboratory investigations
