Job summary

Releaf is seeking a Prescribing Consultant for an on-site role in Leigh, England. You will assess patients, participate in MDT discussions, and issue initial cannabis-based prescriptions within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds MBBS or equivalent and is on the GMC Specialist Register with full UK licence. The role includes non-clinical duties and continuous professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must hold GMC Specialist Register and full GMC licence.
• Full, unrestricted GMC registration and current licence to practise.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and compliance checks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial consultations via video call and assess suitability for cannabis-based medicines.
• Attend MDT meetings to discuss complex cases and approve prescriptions.
• Issue initial prescriptions where clinically appropriate and manage follow‑ups.
• Print, sign and scan prescriptions and maintain accurate records.
