Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Product Technologist in General Merchandise to lead technical plans for Sainsbury’s Brand products, focusing on safety, legality, and quality. You’ll work with suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality items that meet regulatory standards and support sustainability commitments.

The role offers opportunities to influence GM strategy, integrate GM into the Commercial division, and contribute to a leading UK retail brand with strong development potential.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical, quality, legislation, supplier management and product assurance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of Sainsbury’s Brand product and technical plans within your product area.
• Focus on safety, legality, quality and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with suppliers, central technical teams, product developers, trading, supply chain and retail teams.
• Provide technical oversight to uphold brand reputation and quality standards.
