Job summary

Sainsbury's Clothing Technologist role in the Womenswear team focuses on leading the development and delivery of clothing product plans, ensuring quality, safety and legal compliance while collaborating with suppliers, designers, buyers and retail teams.

You will drive innovative product development, manage fit approvals and timelines, resolve issues, and support sustainability initiatives to enhance the customer experience across stores, online and in demand.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating and managing fit sessions throughout the product development process.
• Experience managing the fit approval process to meet quality and customer requirements.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigations.
• Technical knowledge of product construction with experience approving fit and build quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage development and delivery of Clothing product plans, ensuring quality, safety and legality.
• Collaborate with suppliers, designers, buyers, merchandisers and retail teams to drive product development.
• Oversee risk assessment, technical approvals and adherence to critical timelines.
• Resolve issues, manage stock and support sustainability initiatives while improving customer experience.
