Job summary

Sainsbury’s is seeking a Clothing Technologist to lead the Womenswear product development, ensuring quality, safety and legal compliance for clothing range. You’ll work with suppliers, designers, buyers, merchandisers and retail teams to drive innovative development and timely delivery.

You will coordinate fit sessions, manage approvals, assess risks and translate findings into improvements while upholding sustainability commitments and brand values.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating and managing fit sessions through the product development process.
• Demonstrable experience managing the fit approval process to meet quality and customer requirements.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation actions.
• Technical knowledge of product construction with experience approving fit and build quality.
• Ability to analyse returns data and customer feedback to drive improvements.
• Strong attention to detail throughout development, fit, and approval processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the development and delivery of Clothing product plans, ensuring quality, safety and legality.
• Collaborate with suppliers, designers, buyers, merchandisers and retail teams.
• Oversee product development, risk assessment, technical approvals and timelines.
• Resolve issues, manage stock and continuously improve product quality and customer experience.
