Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Gluer Machine Operator in St Neots. The role requires setting up and running glue machinery, with emphasis on safety and quality to support an expanding production schedule.

You will help supervise line assistants and ensure corrugated materials are handled correctly while maintaining a tidy, safe work area in line with 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in relevant role.
• Experience in gluing 4 corner, bookwraps, crash lock cartons & corrugated envelopes.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating relevant machinery.
• Safe operation of process machinery and use of safety features.
• Identify and report potential machine or process issues to Production Manager.
• Maintain understanding of corrugated material types to address issues.
• Supervise and coordinate assistants, feeders, stackers and packers.
• Keep a clean, safe 5S-compliant working environment.

Gluer Machine Operator

Salary: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour (Permanent Contract)

Location: St Neots

Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Gluer Machine Operator to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business based in St. Neots. Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Machine Operator to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the site's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating relevant machinery.
• Safe operation of process machinery, including safety features, emergency stops, lock-out systems and safe systems of work.
• Proactively identify and report any potential machine or process issues to the Production Manager.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of corrugated material types and specifications to identify and address material-related issues.
• Take responsibility for the effective supervision and coordination of assistants, feeders, stackers and packers.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment within the process area in accordance with 5S standards.

Working Hours

Monday - Friay (6am - 2pm or 2pm - 10pm) Rotational shifts.

£16.00 - £20.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
