Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Gluer Machine Operator for its site in St Neots. You will set up and operate corrugated gluing machinery, ensuring safety and quality during production.

The role offers rotating shifts (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm) with £16-£20 per hour and a focus on maintaining equipment, quality output, and a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating glue machinery.
• Safe operation of process machinery and understanding safety features.
• Proactive reporting of machine/process issues to supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating relevant machinery.
• Safe operation of process machinery, including safety features, emergency stops, lock-out systems and safe systems of work.
• Proactively identify and report any potential machine or process issues to the Production Manager.
• Maintain understanding of corrugated material types and specifications to address material-related issues.
• Take responsibility for supervision and coordination of assistants, feeders, stackers and packers.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment following 5S standards.

Position: Gluer Machine Operator

Salary: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour (Permanent Contract)

Location: St Neots

Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Gluer Machine Operator to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business based in St. Neots.

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Machine Operator to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the site's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating relevant machinery.
• Safe operation of process machinery, including safety features, emergency stops, lock-out systems and safe systems of work.
• Proactively identify and report any potential machine or process issues to the Production Manager.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of corrugated material types and specifications to identify and address material-related issues.
• Take responsibility for the effective supervision and coordination of assistants, feeders, stackers and packers.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment within the process area in accordance with 5S standards.

Beneficial

• Minimum of 1 years experience.
• Experience in gluing 4 corner, bookwraps, crash lock cartons & corrugated envelopes

Working Hours

• Monday - Friay (6am - 2pm or 2pm - 10pm) Rotational shifts.
• £16.00 - £20.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
