Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is recruiting for an experienced Multi Point Folder Gluer Machine Operator to join a busy production environment in Huntingdon on a permanent basis.

The role involves setting up and operating Vega/Signature/Bobst/Diana machinery, achieving target speeds with minimal waste, and following strict quality standards; 26 days holiday, salary £31,500 - £39,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• 2+ years folder gluer experience preferred.
• Experience with Vega, Signature, Bobst, or Diana advantageous.
• Experience with 4-corner cartons, bookwraps, crash lock cartons or corrugated envelopes beneficial.
• Experience in packaging, carton production or print finishing environments.
• Strong transferable machine operating skills.
• Ability to adapt to company processes and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up machinery to target speeds and OEE.
• Carry out make-readies to a high standard.
• Follow job bags and approved master samples accurately.
• Operate process machinery safely with all safety features and procedures.
• Identify and report machine or production issues to the Production Manager.
• Understand corrugated material types and identify potential material issues.
• Carry out daily maintenance and TPM tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in line with 5S standards.
• Take responsibility for assistants, feeders, stackers and packers where required.
• Support other areas of the business and carry out additional duties within your capability, depending on workload requirements.
