Job summary

Auger is seeking a Water Mains Engineer to cover Gloucester. You’ll independently investigate and repair external water supplies, explain works to customers and coordinate with our Field Operations Team on site.

The role offers a 42.5-hour week, no on-call, with a starting salary of £32,381–£36,353 plus annual bonus (£2k–£2.5k) and pension contributions. Overtime can push total package to about £38k–£42k, plus 22–25 days leave and health benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in water mains repair and leak investigation.
• Ability to explain works to customers clearly.
• Driving license and DBS check preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate and repair external water supplies.
• Logically establish ownership and liability based on leak location.
• Confidently talk the customer through the works to provide peace of mind.
• Communicate proactively with the Field Operations Team at HQ.
• Work effectively with other engineers in the team.
