Job summary

IFS is a global software company seeking a VP-level leader to head the engineering and reliability function in the Technology Platform. You will drive continuous delivery, automated infrastructure provisioning, and database/performance engineering across globally distributed teams.

You will own reliability, security, performance and cost, set engineering standards, and build senior leadership. Hybrid work options and international collaboration are core to this role.

Qualifications

• Substantial engineering leadership experience at Senior Director or VP level.
• Proven accountability for a platform or infrastructure engineering organisation of 40+ engineers across multiple locations.
• Deep, credible experience across CI/CD, cloud provisioning and infrastructure-as-code, and Oracle database engineering (Exadata).
• Track record of running large-scale Oracle estates in production and migrating them without business disruption.
• Delivery of cloud-first transformation while maintaining legacy or specialised infrastructure.
• Experience in defining and operating an SRE model (SLOs, error budgets, incident command and post-incident learning).
• Strong commercial capability — budget ownership, vendor negotiation, FinOps and Oracle licensing awareness.
