Job summary

RSM UK is seeking a VAT Automation Manager to lead automation across the VAT return preparation and compliance process. You will work with delivery and technology teams to design efficient automated solutions and ensure scalability.

The role combines VAT process knowledge with data science and hands-on automation, with opportunities to explore AI and emerging technologies to improve controls and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of VAT compliance and VAT return processes.
• Experience delivering automation within finance, tax, compliance or professional services.
• Experience working with IT, technology or development teams.
• Ability to translate processes into automation requirements.
• Experience applying data science, analytics or scripting to tax/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the automation strategy across VAT return prep and compliance.
• Identify manual or inefficient activities to automate or streamline.
• Collaborate with VAT teams to translate requirements into automation solutions.
• Take ownership of automation projects from requirements to implementation.
• Lead and coach team members involved in automation delivery.
