RSM UK is seeking a VAT Automation Manager to lead automation across VAT return preparation and compliance. You will combine VAT process knowledge with data science, technical skills and hands-on automation to drive robust, scalable solutions.

Collaboration with clients, delivery, and technology teams will be essential to translate requirements into practical automation initiatives. You will explore AI opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and deliver high-impact results

Qualifications

• Understanding of VAT return processes and compliance requirements.
• Experience delivering automation within finance, tax, compliance or professional services.
• Experience working with IT, technology or development teams.
• Ability to translate processes into automation requirements.

Responsabilités

• Own and drive automation strategy across VAT return preparation and compliance.
• Identify manual, repetitive or inefficient activities and assess automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with VAT teams to map processes, pains and requirements into automation solutions.
• Lead automation projects from requirements through to implementation and ongoing support.
• Stay updated on AI and emerging technologies and identify practical opportunities for VAT processes.
• Lead, coach and manage automation delivery team members, ensuring quality and capability development.
