Job summary

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood, invites placement year students to join the inbound transport team. You will gain hands-on experience managing daily supply chain tasks and interacting with a global supplier base around 800 suppliers at our RRMC Plant Goodwood and Transport and Logistics Centre.

You will develop skills in transport management, data analysis, and reporting while supporting continuous improvement projects in a luxury automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Studying towards a business‑oriented degree and aiming for a 2:2 or above.
• Excel proficiency and strong data-analysis capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.
• Attention to detail and teamwork in a driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Update monthly inbound Transport Service Provider performance reports.
• Manage material delivery queries and tracking.
• Handle emergency delivery administration to ensure on-time parts.
• Organise outbound material transport.
• Report transport-related haulier claims and damages.
• Assist with process analysis, monitoring, and improvement.
• Support inbound transport system administration (DLSS).
• Contribute to network strategy and supplier readiness.
• Participate in project management initiatives.
