Job summary

Squarepoint is offering an 18‑month rotation in Trading Infrastructure Support to train you across Linux, Kubernetes, HPC, distributed storage, load balancing and more. You will work with a mentor, learn the tech stacks, and triage and address user issues while developing automation skills.

After training, you can move into DevOps/Systems teams or stay in Trading Infrastructure Support, with opportunities to rotate into DevOps and Systems teams for hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Basic Linux knowledge
• Familiarity with Python
• Understanding of fundamentals of hardware infrastructure
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, assess priorities and stay organised
• Scientific curiosity and desire to learn and improve system performance
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and automation across core systems
• Engaging with service owners on day-to-day operational issues; triage and resolve incidents
• Supporting observability, workload schedulers, databases, and Linux systems
• Contributing to automation tasks using Python, Bash, or Ansible
• Maintaining monitoring, alerting, and logging pipelines
• Documenting issues and updating runbooks to aid colleagues
