Job summary

Shipley Engineering Ltd. is expanding its Sales Support team at the Shipley site.

The role involves preparing quotations for machine upgrades and spare parts, acting as a primary technical contact for customers, and coordinating with Engineering to ensure accurate, timely quotes. You’ll read engineering drawings to build quotations and support the spares overhaul database, with opportunities to travel internationally up to 50 days a year.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background across engineering disciplines; product training provided.
• Experience in technical sales is desirable, or engineering with commercial aspiration.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to prepare quotations.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 days per year, sometimes with short notice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely, accurate quotations for machine upgrades, conversions and spare parts.
• Act as technical point of contact for customers pre- and post-sale.
• Gather required technical information early and coordinate with Engineering to close gaps.
• Read and interpret drawings to support quotations.
• Maintain a spares overhaul database for the sales team.
• Identify upgrade opportunities as commercial products.
• Attend technical reviews, perform machine audits and organise post-sales visits.
