Job summary

ConocoPhillips is seeking an experienced Systems Support Engineer to sustain reliable, Azure-based commercial applications across compliance, risk, and reporting domains. You will triage incidents, restore services, and coordinate global handoffs in a follow-the-sun model.

The role emphasizes validating data, coordinating deployments, and maintaining robust runbooks while ensuring SLAs and security controls are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, MIS, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise business applications in production.
• Experience providing Level 1 & 2 application support in a global/multi-region environment.
• Experience with Azure App Services, Functions, Service Bus, API services, and data interfaces.
• Proficiency in SQL Server and Oracle; solid data validation and reconciliation skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose production issues across Azure-hosted components, APIs, databases, and interfaces.
• Coordinate deployments, environment readiness, and post-release monitoring.
• Triages incidents, assesses business impact, restores service, and communicates status.
• Maintain accurate runbooks, playbooks, and knowledge records for support teams.
• Ensure ITIL-aligned change control, incident management, and SLA adherence.
