Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Supplier Development Leader to drive supplier performance across quality, delivery, capacity and sustainability within our global supply chain. The role blends cross-functional leadership with hands-on improvement activities, including supplier audits and readiness for new product introductions, with regular travel to supplier sites.

You will lead KPI-driven supplier improvement, partner with Procurement, Engineering and Manufacturing, and promote lean and Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related discipline.
• Experience in supplier quality and supplier development in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA and control plans.
• Strong project management, analytics and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier development and improvement projects focused on quality, delivery, capacity and operational performance.
• Drive supplier readiness for new product introductions using APQP/PPAP.
• Conduct supplier audits and capability assessments to validate manufacturing processes.
• Develop and monitor supplier KPIs with corrective actions and improvement plans.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams to achieve objectives.
• Promote lean manufacturing and Six Sigma practices across the supplier network.
• Travel to supplier locations for assessments and development activities.
