James Fisher and Sons plc (JFD) is seeking a Project Manager to join the Defence Submarine Rescue Team in Glasgow. You will lead a multidisciplinary project team, deliver high-value projects on time and budget, and report through the PMO framework to stakeholders.

This senior role requires a calm, adaptive leader with strong communication, negotiation and business acumen, capable of navigating defence contracting terms and security requirements on international projects.

Competenze

• Proven experience in Project Management, encompassing defence maritime projects and international project execution.
• Strong understanding of UK and international defence contracting terms and security considerations.
• Holds a recognised Project Management qualification.
• Knowledge of maritime, defence, and international quality and safety standards.
• Proven history of managing complex customer relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
• Degree qualified within a naval context, or equivalent industry experience.
• APM Project Fundamentals & Project Management qualification (or similar).

Mansioni

• Lead multiple projects within JFD’s global Defence portfolio.
• Deliver projects on time, on budget and to customer satisfaction.
• Monitor, compile and submit project reports to customer and management per PMO processes.
• Communicate project status and KPI performance to senior management.
• Ensure health, safety, environment, sustainability and security objectives are met.
• Develop detailed project plans and manage variances from the plan.
• Identify, monitor and report risks to ensure contractual delivery.
• Ensure governance under JFD’s Global Project Execution Process (GPEP).
