Job summary

James Fisher is expanding its Project Management organisation with a role based at Westway, Glasgow, embedded in the Defence Submarine Rescue Team. The Project Manager will be accountable for the P&L, delivery, and performance within the submarine rescue area, leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the complete satisfaction of customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering defence maritime projects.
• Knowledge of international defence contracting terms and security considerations.
• Security clearance suitable for defence work.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects within JFD’s global Defence portfolio.
• Deliver projects on time and on budget to customer satisfaction.
• Submit regular project reports to customer and management.
• Communicate project status and KPI performance through management tiers.
• Ensure HSE, safety, and regulatory objectives across the project lifecycle.
• Develop detailed project plans for progress tracking and variances.
• Identify and mitigate project risks to meet contractual requirements.
• Ensure governance per JFD’s Global Project Execution Process (GPEP).
