Job summary

University of Northampton is seeking an International Student Advice Officer on a 12-month fixed term contract. The role provides student-centred advice on immigration and international student issues for the university’s cohort of international students, delivering an excellent experience and supporting new approaches to advice.

The postholder will contribute to the Immigration Compliance Service, assist with engagement monitoring, and ensure timely Home Office reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree level.
• Some prior knowledge and experience of immigration advice and Home Office rules relating to international students.
• Able to present complex information to a wide range of colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment and retention activities with immigration and international student guidance.
• Deliver an excellent international student experience and contribute to new approaches in international student advice.
• Support the Immigration Compliance Service in Home Office reporting and other key functions.
• Engage in monitoring activities and ensure deadlines are met.
