Ninety One, a leading independent global asset manager, seeks an experienced Communications professional to lead media relations and external storytelling. You will pitch, draft releases and develop strategies that position Ninety One executives as voices on market themes.

The role spans national and international media with a focus on institutional and wholesale audiences. The candidate will work with portfolio managers and analysts to translate complex investment ideas into compelling media

Qualifications

• Seven years of relevant communications or financial PR experience.
• Understanding of financial services and asset management markets.
• Established network of journalists across institutional and wholesale media.
• Proven track record in securing high-quality earned media.
• Ability to work with portfolio managers and investment professionals.
• Experience coordinating external PR agencies across multiple markets.
• Clear written materials and ability to translate investment topics for media.
• Strong judgement on media risks and opportunities.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Responsibilities

• Pitch, draft press releases, and create content strategies for internal and external projects.
• Develop and deliver proactive media strategies across Ninety One's capabilities.
• Build and enhance the external profiles of executives and investment professionals.
• Engage with institutional and wholesale media to secure coverage across channels.
• Translate investment thinking into clear, newsworthy narratives for media.
• Prepare managers and executives for media engagements with briefing materials.
