Job summary

CME Group in Belfast is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the International Corporate Accounting team within the Global Finance function. You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and deliver accurate monthly reports supporting SOX compliance and regulatory standards.

The role offers hybrid working, exposure to EMEA and APAC operations, and opportunities to impact financial reporting quality across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA
• 2.1 degree in Finance/Accounting or related field
• Strong data manipulation and analysis skills
• Solid understanding of IFRS/GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end and quarter-end close cycles.
• Validate journal entries, income statements, and balance sheets for accuracy and compliance.
• Deliver monthly management reports with high-quality disclosure and SOX adherence.
• Lead continuous improvement across end-to-end finance processes to enhance efficiency and controls.
• Assist with EMEA and APAC statutory audits with necessary documentation.
• Support the integrity of financial data and internal control frameworks.
