Job summary

Wellington Management is seeking an Accountant to join the Global Accounting group within the Finance department. The successful candidate will handle the monthly close for our legal entities, along with internal and external reporting and financial analysis across multiple jurisdictions.

The role requires a newly qualified chartered accountant with IFRS knowledge, strong Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate across EMEA, US and APAC.

Qualifications

• Newly/recently qualified chartered accountant with 3 years accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of IFRS and other standards is beneficial.
• Analytical aptitude with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, and internal reporting for Wellington’s legal entities across multiple jurisdictions
• Analysis of monthly financial results and related reporting to management
• Preparation of filings and surveys for regulatory agencies
• Preparation of various financial statements across jurisdictions
• External audit support including audit work papers and responding to auditor inquiries
• Identifying operational efficiencies and improvements to systems and processes
• Ad-hoc analysis and reporting
