Qualifications

• Senior leadership in Quality Engineering/Management within semiconductor manufacturing.
• Lead Auditor certification in ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• VDA 6.3 and Supplier Auditor qualifications or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in senior leadership roles in quality environments.
• Experience with QMS in highly regulated manufacturing, automotive semiconductors.
• Proven record managing customer quality, external audits and regulatory programs.
• Strong tools knowledge: APQP, FMEA, 8D, SPC, MSA and continuous improvement.
• Led multidisciplinary teams, driven transformation and high performance.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and ISO 45001.
• Experience in automotive and aerospace semiconductors desirable.
• Customer-focused with a zero-defect mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain Newport Quality Management System (QMS) to standards.
• Interface with audits, customer requirements and quality concerns.
• Define strategic direction of quality systems and continuous improvement.
• Manage external audit programmes and relationships with certification bodies.
• Lead customer complaint investigations and 8D actions.
• Promote APQP, FMEA, QCC, 5S, MSA and SPC methodologies.
• Drive standardisation and strategic quality initiatives across sites.
• Oversee document control, change management and approvals.
• Chair quality and material review boards for governance.
• Lead customer and regulatory audits and ensure compliance.
• Monitor quality metrics and report performance (PPM, FARs).
• Lead, develop and performance manage QA, Failure Analysis and Calibration teams.
• Budget oversight for Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, FA and Calibration.
• Champion a zero-defect culture and liaise with suppliers for quality.
• Mentor supplier quality resources and drive continuous capability growth.
