Job summary

Mettler-Toledo International, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Architect to lead and unify software teams across two brands, owning the full lifecycle from sales through production support.

You will steer two major architectures, define roadmaps, and architect the next-generation X-ray software platform in a UK-based role that connects UK, Germany and China R&D hubs. You’ll manage a diverse portfolio including customer-facing apps, imaging algorithms, embedded firmware, and RD tools, while

Qualifications

• Experience leading software architecture across multiple teams and brands.
• This role requires strategic roadmapping and high-level product specifications.
• Ability to mentor and influence global teams without direct authority.
• Domain experience in at least one of: application software, IoT/cloud, AI/ML, cybersecurity or embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyse current architectures and map them for continuity and alignment.
• Formulate roadmaps to integrate new features without destabilising systems.
• Architect next-generation software platform for evolving product lines.
• Develop high-level product specifications for robust, scalable solutions.
• Create layered architectures to enable agile collaboration across teams.
• Operate within an Agile framework (e.g., SAFe, SCRUM).
• Mentor colleagues, sharing skills and experience.
