Job summary

KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Senior Software Architect to own the software vision across platforms, both in the UK and abroad. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic platform direction, working across product management, hardware leads and global teams.

Based in Royston with hybrid working options, you will define the software roadmap for two mature platforms, sometimes requiring travel and cross-country coordination to ensure consistency and high

Qualifications

• Background in software architecture and leading engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with C#, C++, and Windows.
• Ability to define and steer software platforms across multiple countries.

Responsibilities

• Work with product management, hardware and technology leads to define the software roadmap and platform future.
• Take on line management of the software team, with potential responsibility for colleagues in another country.
• Partner with a technical lead to determine, on a global basis, what gets built and how.
• Engage directly with customers when appropriate to shape software requirements.
• Balance customer exposure with automation to deliver user-friendly products.
