Job summary

Verne is seeking a Network Engineer to develop and govern the network strategy across regions, covering IT and OT environments. Based in the UK, you will drive architecture, standards, controls, and documentation aligned with IMS requirements.

You will lead design reviews, enforce change control, and provide technical leadership in routing, switching, and security across enterprise networks and data centre estates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience administering enterprise firewall platforms and VPNs.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, WAN and wireless.
• Experience documenting standards, procedures, and diagrams.
• Experience with multi-site or multi-region network environments.
• Ability to work with Compliance, Security, and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Define, maintain, and improve the company’s network strategy across regions.
• Develop network standards, reference architectures, and design principles.
• Own and maintain network documentation and configurations.
• Collaborate with Compliance to support governance and audits.
• Lead network design reviews for new sites and upgrades.
• Oversee change control and incident response for network services.
• Provide technical leadership on routing, switching, WAN, and security.
• Support KPI reporting and service trend analysis.
