Job summary

Kaluza Ltd. is seeking a Security Operations Lead to own and grow the Security Operations function across the UK and Australia.

You’ll be the senior escalation point for security incidents, a calm presence under pressure, and drive an evolving security posture for an AI-enabled business. You’ll build and mentor a dispersed team, evolve incident response, hunt threats, own detection tooling, and report KPIs to senior stakeholders while ensuring compliance with audits and customer reviews in

Qualifications

• Experience managing and mentoring engineers and/or operations specialists.
• Expertise in incident response with hands-on leadership of major incidents.
• Experience in threat intelligence and hunting in cloud-native environments.
• Knowledge of adversarial techniques (MITRE ATT&CK and similar).
• Curiosity about AI security risks like model abuse and prompt injection.
• Familiarity with modern security operations tooling and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Security Operations team across the UK and Australia, guiding growth and performance.
• Evolve incident response processes, maintain playbooks, and run exercises to build confidence.
• Hunt threats proactively and collaborate with pen testers, red teams and bug bounties.
• Own detection and tooling, including SIEM/EDR, and drive the roadmap with smart automation.
• Define and report Security Operations KPIs and KRIs to senior stakeholders.
• Support compliance, governance, audits and customer security reviews alongside Legal/Privacy.
